The DEWALT Powerstack DCBP518 5.0ah 18v Battery utilises pouch cells to give you greater productivity than before. Get 50% more power* enabling faster application speeds and increased productivity with more than 50% more work per charge** using this battery that works with all the 18V XR tools you already have. This DCBP518 battery provides twice the lifetime*** and features an impact-resistant, overmolded base with non-marring material.Powerstack battery technology - the most powerful, compact and lightest weight battery. The next dimension of power is now available in 5.0ah*vs. DEWALT DCB184 battery, not in application **Usable energy vs. DEWALT DCB184 battery, not in application ***Charge cycles vs. DEWALT DCB184 battery.Dewalt DCBP518 Powerstack Features Higher max watts out, so there's a greater range of applicationsFaster speed of application, giving you increased output and more jobs doneImproved thermal performance. Pouch cells run cooler in application and dissipate heat better than cylindrical cellsCreate less heat resistance which means fewer hot pack shutdowns meaning less downtime and more productivityIncreased cycle life, which means better performance for longerFully backwards compatible with all Dewalt XR 18v ToolsHow do Dewalt DCBP518 5.0ah Powerstack deliver more power?Pouch cells run cooler in application because of their lower resistance. As a result of their increased surface area, heat also dissipates better than cylindrical cells. Less heat build-up means fewer hot pack shutdowns and less downtime. How do Dewalt DCBP518 5.0ah Powerstack offer a longer life? When batteries are charged and discharged, their useful capacity decreases, the cell's internal resistance increases resulting in more heat build-up and less available current to power your tools. The capacity loss in the Li-Ion pouch cells used in POWERSTACK batteries is a small fraction of that of a cylindrical cell. Why Choos.
