Automatic Greenhouse Window Opener - Autovent -Solar Powered Gardening Naturally
This automatic greenhouse vent opener, also known as an autovent, keeps your greenhouse at the right temperature. It opens and closes the window using solar heat, so no electricity is required. The opener lets heat escape on warm days and helps retain warmth when temperatures drop. Supplied with a two-year warranty, it’s easy to install with the instructions provided. Automatic Greenhouse Vent Opener With Temperature Control The temperature-controlled greenhouse opener can be adjusted to begin opening between 17°C and 25°C. Around 30°C it will fully open to a maximum of 45 cm, depending on adjustment and load. These self-opening greenhouse vents keep air circulating without you checking the greenhouse all day. Solar Powered Greenhouse Window Opener For Easy Ventilation This solar powered greenhouse window opener uses the sun’s heat to function—no wiring or batteries needed. It’s made from aluminium zinc-coated steel and has an opening force of 7 kg for reliable daily use. We also offer an Automatic Greenhouse Door Opener for doors and larger vents. Wax Filled Piston In The Greenhouse Ventilation System Opener Inside the automatic greenhouse opener is a wax-filled piston cylinder with a wax and oil mix. As the greenhouse warms, the wax expands and pushes the piston rod outward to open the window. When temperatures fall, the wax contracts and the piston retracts; springs or window weight then close it, creating a self-regulating ventilation cycle. Self Opening Greenhouse Vents With Two Year Warranty Every self-opening greenhouse vent includes a two-year warranty for peace of mind. Over time you may need a spare part—grab the Autovent Replacement Cylinder to refresh performance. Clear instructions are included for quick fitting and seasonal adjustments. Temperature Controlled Greenhouse Opener Size The greenhouse ventilation system opener measures 76 cm × 54 cm and supports up to 25 kg. It’s designed for dependable airflow control on a single greenhouse window. Can The Automatic Greenhouse Vent Opener Be Left Outdoors All Year? Yes—leave it in place year-round and it will keep working through seasonal weather changes. Does The Solar Powered Greenhouse Window Opener Work On Cloudy Days? Yep. It uses ambient solar heat, not direct sunlight, so it still functions when overcast. Is The Temperature Controlled Greenhouse Opener Easy To Install? Yes. It comes with full instructions and fits most greenhouse window frames using standard tools. How Often Should The Self Opening Greenhouse Vents Be Adjusted? Rarely—once set, you might tweak the temperature range with seasonal changes. Can The Greenhouse Ventilation System Opener Be Used On Wooden Frames? Yes, it’s suitable for both wooden and aluminium greenhouse frames. What Happens If The Automatic Greenhouse Vent Opener Freezes In Winter? The unit is built for cold conditions, but keep the vent clear of snow and ice buildup.
