Start your home growing adventure with Thompson and Morgan Gretel Aubergine F1 Seeds that promise exceptional flavour and are virtually seedless, perfect for baking or frying straight from your sunny patio or compact garden. Enjoy harvesting these attractive ivory fruits at their best, between seven and ten centimetres long, ensuring a mild and delicious taste without bitterness. Gretel F1 seeds are easy to cultivate with clear instructions included, making them ideal for both beginners and experienced gardeners seeking early-cropping aubergine seeds for greenhouse growing. Each packet contains five seeds that thrive in full sun, reaching up to 130cm in height, and are tailored for those looking for compact aubergine seeds for small gardens. Sow aubergine seeds from February to May for indoor cultivation or March to April for growing outdoors. Soaking them in warm water for 24 hours before sowing will assist germination. Sow seeds on the surface of a free-draining, moist seed compost and cover with a six-millimetre layer of vermiculite or compost. Place in a propagator or seal the container inside a polythene bag at a constant temperature of 18-21°C (65-70F) until after germination which takes 10-14 days. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, carefully transplant them into 7.5cm pots and grow on at a slightly reduced temperature. Product Specifications: Tender Annual. Position: Full sun.
