Thompson & Morgan Thompson And Morgan Aubergine Graffiti F1 Seeds

Introducing the Aubergine 'Graffiti' (Grafted), a unique variety that brings a touch of the exotic to your vegetable patch. These plants produce glossy, eye-catching fruits with distinctive zebra stripes. Each fruit can grow up to 400g and measure 15-20cm in length, offering a substantial harvest. The plants themselves are nearly spineless, making them a joy to handle and cultivate. The firm, white flesh is incredibly versatile, making it a star ingredient for grilling, roasting, or adding to stir-fries. Expect a plant height of 75cm (30in) with a spread of 60cm (24in). How to Grow: - Sow seeds indoors between February and May, or outdoors between March and April- For improved germination, soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours before sowing- Sow seeds on the surface of moist, well-draining compost, covering lightly with 6mm of vermiculite- Use a propagator or seal sown seeds in a polythene bag and maintain a temperature of 18–21°C for germination which takes 10–14 days- Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into 7.5cm (3") pots and grow them on at a slightly cooler temperature- After the last frost, when the soil has warmed, gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions- Plant outdoors in a sunny location, ensuring plants are 90cm (3') apart with rows spaced 90–120cm (3–4') apart- Ensure the soil remains consistently moist throughout the growing season- Stake the plants as they grow to provide support- Pinch out the main tip of the plant to encourage bushier growth- Feed plants every two weeks with a high-potash feed, such as tomato feed- For the best fruit size, limit each plant to 5–6 fruits- Harvest from August onwards, when the fruits are glossy and fully coloured. Images are for illustrative purposes only and may represent mature plants. Actual results can vary based on growing conditions. Decorative pots are not included.
